THE DESIGN

The Wayfarer is a high quality, hand built, G.R.P. constructed training dinghy. The solid construction of both its hull and deck ensures stiffness together with long term durability. With a length of just over 16 foot, this dinghy provides ample room for up to 6 people to sail in comfort. Its length, together with its excellent handling characteristics ensure that you are soon confident with the boat and leaves you to focus on having fun with the family. With options for jib furling, spinnakers and outboard motors this really is a hugely versatile craft.

Construction
Every Wayfarer is hand built by our skilled workforce, the result is that every Wayfarer is built to high standards and has excellent finishes.

Every Wayfarer is built to your own exact specification. This can start with the choice of hull colours and may include extra reinforcement for training groups or extra location points for cruising storage tie downs.

The secret to building a good Wayfarer is to find out how it is to be used and then to use the experience we have gained over many years to give a custom built product.

The boat is all glassfibre and polyester resin construction, with un-directional glass cloth and with internal stiffening ribbed structure, accidents, bumps, and damages are easy to repair when using glassfibre construction and most importantly are hard wearing and will give longevity to the boat.

ASYMMETRIC or CEMMETRIC

The Wayfarer available with either asymmetric or cemmetric spinnakers origionally intended for sailing schools. The asymmetric is now available for all, providing a new dimension to this clasic class (not suitable for racing).

TRAINING

This is where the Wayfarer excels, without doubt the best ever training boat ever produced, nearly every training centre, sailing school throughout the UK uses the Wayfarer. They choose this boat for its outstanding sailing qualities and its superb handling qualities and more importantly its stability in all weathers.

Sailing schools require a training boat that can stand up to constant use, even the abuse that trainees may give her, time after time. The Wayfarer has a proven record of this achievement, with 50 years in service the fact that the options include, roller jib foiling, slab reefing, sail buoyancy, asymmetric and symmetric spinnaker options gives this boat advantages over all its competition.

The new improved cockpit layout is both stylish and functional, together with giving more area for the trainees. The new changes also mean the Wayfarer comes up with only one person stood on the c/board and when righted, very little water is left, bailers only are needed to clear the remaining water. The Wayfarer can be left on mooring, putting the Wayfarer Trainer well ahead of all other boats in the field.
